Position Summary1. Provide an optimum solution through a contract review and legal counsel.
2. Minimize the company's legal risks by responding to major disputes.Role and ResponsibilitiesContracts:
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reporting.
  • Drafting and Review of template agreements
  • Review and drafting of AO and SSA e-commerce contracts, sales and supply contracts, service level agreements, logistics and distribution contracts, third party and vendor contracts.
  • Specialised Project work in relation to contract compliance and e-commerce
  • Management of legal accounts/invoices and processing of payments
  • Update and maintain contract review and completion statistics for management presentations
  • Prepare and present presentations for Senior Management and other internal stakeholders (where required)
  • Liaising with and the oversight of external attorneys in relation to Contracts.
  • Draft, review and negotiate Contracts across all departments
  • Management, reporting and utilisation of Electronic Contracts Management System (“ECMS”)
  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders
  • Understanding business requirements and effectively mitigating risk
Disputes:
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reporting.
  • Provide support and assist with management of both SSA and AO disputes
  • Assistance with the management of Government Investigations
  • Review and management of customer complaints
  • Liaising with and the oversight of external attorneys in relation to disputes.
  • Management of external attorneys' invoices and billing
  • Reporting and management of Disputes on Samsung internal Disputes and Government Investigations System (GLASS)
Other
  • Attend to legal queries from both SSA, SSAP and AO Business units
  • Provide support to both the Compliance Lead and Governance Lead in relation to both SSA and AO compliance, governance and regulatory issues
  • Must be able to travel locally and to African countries when required.
  • Conduct internal research and prepare legal opinions for business
  • Management of legal accounts/invoices and processing of payments
  • Both legal and non-legal administrative work
Skills and QualificationsQualifications:
  • LLB Law degree.
  • Admission as an attorney or Advocate
Experience:
  • At least 7 years post-admission experience as a practicing attorney or in a legal advisory capacity dealing with legal commercial issues.
  • At least 4 years’ experience as an in-housel legal advisor
  • Highly beneficial if the candidate has cross boarder experience in both contracting and disputes
