Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and repair a fleet of earthmoving equipment
  • Complete inspections
  • Removal and installation of parts
  • General maintenance and rebuild of equipment
  • Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Testing
  • General repairs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified artisan with five years of previous heavy equipment experience is a requirement.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems: engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical.
  • Must have a code B drivers licence, code EC licence will be an advantage.
It would be expected of the successful candidate to assume duties throughout the Western Cape.
