- Install, test, and maintain automated machinery and PLC systems (Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley)
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and creatively, ensuring minimal downtime
- Interpret complex technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints
- Monitor performance and implement preventative maintenance plans
- Ensure systems remain up-to-date, safe, and compliant with industry regulations
- Train operators and staff on best practices in system operation and maintenance
- Develop and document repair strategies and system improvements
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams on issues, fixes, and recommendations
- 3-5 years' experience as an Automation Technician or in a similar industrial setting
- Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical certifications
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical skills
- Strong expertise in PLC programming and fault finding (especially Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley)
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical schematics
- Familiarity with database management and automation-related mathematics (algebra, calculus, stats, etc.)
