  • Re-measure revised drawings and details to identify risk and opportunity
  • Progress measurement for monthly and fortnightly subcontractor payments
  • Identify variations and new rates and preparation of cost for client approval
  • Placing of bulk orders and assist with material ordering
  • Negotiate Favourable pricing and timeously appoint in line with contract programmes
  • Adjudication of Tender Quotations and Appointment of subcontractors
  • Adjudication of subcontractor claims and ensure payment certificates and invoices are submitted timeously
  • Preparation of Contract Documentation
  • Monitor Compliance of Subcontractor Documentation and Guarantees
  • Agreement and Preparation of Final Accounts
  • Preparation of labour costing reports to assist operations team with controlling labour budget
  • Advise operations team where corrective action required
  • Contract Instructions/Variation Orders
  • Identifying Contract Instructions/Variation Orders
  • Pricing of Contract Instruction/Variation Orders
  • Obtain supporting information and documentation to motivate cost
  • Preparation of monthly valuations for submission to client
  • Respond to queries related to valuation and provide supporting documentation where required
  • Ensure payment certificate is received and invoice submitted timeously to avoid delayed payments
  • Manage contra charge schedule to recoup cost from subcontractors
  • Distribution of schedules for incorporation in subcontractor payments
  • Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments
  • Abstract information into subcontract and material packages
  • Select subcontract and material suppliers
  • Organise copy of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties
  • Ensure tendering processes are fully implemented
  • Arrange pricing document production - internal or external
  • Enter pricing document onto estimating system
  • Rate up pricing document
  • Answering queries from subcontractors/suppliers
  • Liaise with Design Team during tender process and arrange meeting if required
  • Appraise sub-contractor/supplier quotations
  • Price up Prelims, in conjunction with Senior Estimator / Construction Manager
