Our client, a leader in the adhesives industry, is looking for a Supply Chain Director to oversee and manage their entire supply chain and logistics strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing productivity, ensuring cost-efficiency, and maximizing the efficiency of the supply chain from procurement of raw materials to delivery of the final product. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex supply chains within the manufacturing sector, preferably with experience in adhesives or related chemical products.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's objectives, focusing on scalability, cost-efficiency, and sustainability.Oversee and manage supply chain and logistics operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and ensure the availability of materials and products to meet customer requirements.Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to secure the best terms and prices while maintaining high-quality standards.Implement and utilize advanced supply chain analytics and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and accountability.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain and logistics operations.Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and address any issues promptly.Stay informed of the latest trends and developments in supply chain management and logistics, particularly within the adhesives industry, to adopt best practices and innovative solutions.Key Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.,Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.,Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies.,Proficient in supply chain management software and advanced analytics tools.,Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.,Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.A minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the adhesives or chemical products industry.Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains and implementing efficiency improvements.Deep understanding of the global supply chain and logistics landscape, including regulatory and market trends.Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is an advantage.
