Full TimeWorkspaceOn siteAbout the RoleEnsure the correct start-up of machines. Ensure operating gauges are monitored during operation.
 Ensure daily inspection of greasing points as part of the pre-check. Ensure all moving parts are greased
daily.
 Ensure good house-keeping of machines on a daily basis.
 Monitor on daily basis MPI system on vehicles and Break test.
 Ensure compliance with prescribed lock-out procedures during shift.
 Ensure that fire extinguishers are available and in good working condition.
 Communicate with Fleet Manager on a continuous basis regarding repairs and maintenance of
machines.
 Ensure that all Legislation, SOP's, COP's and Health and Safety policies and procedures are successfully
implemented.
 Ensure maximum production in accordance with all legislation, SOP's, COP's, MHSA and safety Policies
and Procedures.
 Ensure that disciplinary actions are issued and returned to management/HR on time.
 Ensure effective communication at all times.
 Maintain healthy working relationship with team and employees from other departments.
 Ensure that Key Control procedure is adhered to and that all keys with diesel tags are accounted for
at the end of the shift
 Ensure that Access Permit has been completedRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: Blasting Certification- Advantage. Surface Mining Experience and Knowledge Load and Haul Experience Valid Driver's License Medically Fit for Duty5 years + mining experience in open cast mining in similar role. Iron Ore mining will be beneficial. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure. MPI System knowledge. DMR COP's extensive knowledge  Mine health and Safety Act extensive knowledgeAbout the Company The candidates will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and
Safety Act 29 of 1996 in mining vacancies.
