Job Description:A vacancy for an ISP Support Technician has become available. The successful applicant will assist and support customers.If you would like to work in a fast paced environment that chases innovation and strives for excellence, then this is the role for you!Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Customer support via email, tickets and phone
  • Setting up residential routers
  • Daily reports on problems and resolutions
  • Ensuring a fast turn around time to queries
  • Reporting up the line with regards to physical fibre issues
  • New customer installations
RequirementsQualification:
  • Matric
  • Relevant Information Technology Degree or Diploma advantageous
Experience and knowledge:
  • 3 years experience in a similar role
  • IP addressing and subnetting knowledge
  • General network and internet understanding
  • ISP experience advantageous
  • Router configuration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of wireless networks
  • Ticketing, and answering customer queries via the phone
Skills and Attributes
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Customer service orientated
  • Must have a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership skills will be advantageous
Specific Requirements
  • Own transport
  • Clear credit record
  • No criminal record
  • Solid and positive references
