It's primary objective therefore centres around strict timelines, efficiency and cost effectiveness.This position reports to the General ManagerYour responsibilities will include:
  • Be responsible for the overall running of the facility and all other secondary roles which flow from this function
  • Ensure operations costs are in line with budget
  • Ensures the on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution centre
  • Responsible for implementation and effective utilization of system(s) which will ensure that all product within the warehouse and/or entering or leaving the warehouse is accurately identified and distributed/delivered timeously
  • Ensure efficient warehousing with timeous movement of product.
  • Extracts data and generates reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making.
  • Ensure consistent application of Company policies and procedures.
  • Trains and supervise employees to carry out the functions under their control.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards
  • Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and other company standards
  • Identifies value-creation opportunities for the company in the movement and distribution of the product.
  • Works closely with senior management and Human Resources to resolve issues and ensure quality service to our customers.
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance environment.
  • Must have good attention to details, and be able to manage the big picture and continuous changes in customer
  • Requests and deliveries of products
  • Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the materials function with a
bottom line result.Qualifications:
  • Matric qualification
  • Tertiary qualification advantageous
  • 4 - 5 years Logistics experience
