National Account Manager FMCG Cape Town Head OfficeOur client is in the FMCG industry and is looking for a Candidate to be part of their dynamic team. Must have current experience in FMCG, overseeing retailers such as PnP, Checkers, Dischem etcResponsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. Support regional sales managers to increase sales and profitability.Key Responsibilities
  • Organized and able to analyze performance metrics
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to foster relationships with customers
  • Facilitate communication with customers and build long-term relationships to achieve business goals
  • Set and monitor targets for key account managers
  • Network with key customers to identify and address specific needs
  • Playing an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients requirements are met
  • Identify and attract prospective strategic customers
  • Ensure brand consistency
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new products
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Manage or participate in Cross-Functional Targets
Requirements:
  • BSc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Proven work experience (2-3 years minimum) in key account management
  • Solid experience in sales and customer service
  • Previous experience in negotiations of trading terms, promotional grids and PI implementation on a national level is a prerequisite
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients requirements
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members
  • Availability to travel as needed
