BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering is essential
Postgraduate qualification (Honours/Masters) in Structural Engineering is highly advantageous
Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr.Tech Eng)
Must have proven experience in the design of roads, bridges, and interchanges (candidates from a building structures background will not be considered)
Extensive experience within a consulting engineering environment is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist structural engineering input and guidance on complex roads, bridges, and interchange projects
Review and approve detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications
Ensure all designs and solutions comply with relevant industry standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations
Offer technical mentorship and support to engineering teams across the organisation
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including consulting firms and contractors
