A renewable energy company operating in South Africa since 1992 with its head office in EuropeJob DescriptionYou will be responsible for:Reviewing/approving GE02 / GE05 deadlinesAttend EAP kick-off meetings.Review specialist sensitivities (no-go kml)Attend CA Pre-application meetings.Review listed activities (prior to DBAR/DEIAr release)Review water use authorisation risk assessments (as required) prior to application commencement.Review comment and response report.Lead NGO engagement/problem solving – be ESA touch point.Lead appeal responses.Lead biodiversity offset problem solving, ToR, appointment and specialist workstreams in conjunction with the relevant project developer.Maintain and update the standard project descriptions as and when new environmental requirements necessitate changes.Maintain and ensure the project development library is up to date where new regulations are.Manage the BIC process as and when required to ensure up to date process descriptions.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in environmental management or similar Skills5- 10 years relevant experience as per the job descriptionProficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Power Point, Word)Some knowledge of Project Management software, e.g. MS ProjectExperience with either Wasp, WindPro, Windfarm, Open Winds or other resource assessment platform will be an advantage.Advanced knowledge of NEMA and all environmental regulations and lawBusiness fluent in EnglishSalary / PackageR800k - R1,5m Neghttps://www.pcs-sa.co.za/job/415293/senior-environmental-advisor/
