Job Purpose:To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment or systems at client sites. The Field Service Engineer provides on-site technical support to ensure optimal performance of machinery or technology, while ensuring high customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Install, test, and commission new equipment or systems at customer sites.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.Diagnose technical issues and conduct repairs in a timely and professional manner.Provide technical support and training to customers or end-users.Complete service reports, documentation, and job cards accurately.Ensure all work complies with company and customer safety regulations.Maintain tools, spare parts, and equipment in good working condition.Collaborate with engineering and product teams for problem-solving and feedback.Travel to various client locations (local or regional) as required.Requirements:National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related technical field.Proven experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support roles.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.Proficient with tools, test instruments, and technical software.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently under pressure and in different environments.Advantageous:Experience with PLCs, automation systems, or industrial machinery.Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.Familiarity with service management systems or ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Certifications (e.g., Trade Test, Wireman’s License, OEM training).Working Conditions:Field-based work, sometimes in challenging environments (e.g., factories, mines, remote areas).May require after-hours or weekend work.The post appeared first on .
