Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our finance team based in Midrand. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process using SAP, ensuring all employee remuneration, benefits, and statutory submissions are processed accurately and on time.As part of the finance function, you will collaborate closely with HR, auditors, consultants, and employees to maintain data integrity, ensure compliance with labour laws and tax regulations, and provide exceptional payroll support. This position is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a high-volume environment, values accuracy, and is passionate about both compliance and employee engagement.As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the end-to-end payroll cycle using SAP, including validations, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Processing employee benefits, deductions, and statutory submissions (EMP201, EMP501, provident fund contributions, etc.).
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in SAP for promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
  • Handling time management processes in SAP (PTMW and FLOW) and resolving related queries.
  • Ensuring full compliance with labour laws, tax legislation, and company policies.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing reports and documentation.
  • Providing payroll-related support and education to employees with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for SAP payroll troubleshooting, authorisations, and system updates.
What do you need:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years’ payroll administration experience, with SAP (or Sage) expertise being highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and solid data validation/reconciliation skills.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to support employees and resolve queries.
