Industry: Consulting / Engineering ServicesOverview:An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer with 5–10 years of post-graduate experience to join their Cape Town office. The successful candidate will be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of water and sanitation infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful civil infrastructure projects while growing within a dynamic, collaborative team.Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and implementation of bulk water, wastewater, and sanitation projects.
- Conduct process and hydraulic design of water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Prepare technical reports, tender documentation, and construction drawings.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and sub-consultants.
- Perform site inspections, construction monitoring, and quality control.
- Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Support proposal development and contribute to business development initiatives.
- BEng / BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering (with a focus on water/wastewater).
- Professional registration or registration-in-progress with ECSA (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) is advantageous.
- 5–10 years of relevant post-graduate experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Strong technical knowledge of process design, civil works, and municipal services.
- Familiarity with applicable South African design standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Designer).
- Experience with MS Office and MS Project for reporting and scheduling.
- Exposure to contract documentation (e.g., GCC, FIDIC) and project cost control.
