Mechanical Engineer

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure compliance.
• Design and improve mechanical components to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Manage equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to staff.

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 35 years mechanical maintenance experience in a food processing or industrial environment (abattoir experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
