With our global remote work policy, we promote flexibility and prioritise a healthy work-life balance for our employees.Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketer to join our team to lead all marketing efforts at Lessonspace.For the time being, this will be our only full-time marketing hire and you will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing strategy and driving growth, however it will involve a lot of hands-on work. The intention is for this to evolve into an executive leadership role in the near future.RequirementsThe ideal applicant: * Has more than 5 years of experience in education, or a similar industry, selling to schools and teachers, or working in B2B SaaS marketing.
  • Has been in a mid-level marketing role and is looking to step up into an executive position. This is important as we are looking first and foremost for someone who is a “doer” and willing to get their hands dirty - you will be doing everything when it comes to the marketing: speaking with customers to understand their needs; coordinating with the team; developing strategies; budgeting; executive reporting; setting up measurements; creating marketing-material, making and managing marketing campaigns or online events.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest tools and trends and knows how to scope, trial, implement, and operate the latest off-the-shelf-tooling.
  • Has competence in developing a range of marketing media, including: images, email, social media, long-form content, video, webinars etc.
  • Has a desire to deeply understand our customer and how we can strategically build brand recognition to meet their needs.
  • Is comfortable working in isolation, from home, and is self-motivated while being able to collaborate across teams. You should also be comfortable identifying and hiring future team members.
Responsibilities: * Define and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to boost brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with all team members from sales, to product, to curriculum to align marketing initiatives with our business goals.
  • Create compelling content to effectively communicate our value proposition across various marketing channels, including social media, email, partnerships, conferences etc.
  • Plan and execute a variety of marketing initiatives from end-to-end, taking full ownership of projects.
  • Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed, and report on initiatives to keep the team up to date.
  • Lead initiatives to improve user engagement, retention, and overall customer lifetime value.
Here are some things done in the past that we would expect going forward: * Branding and Content Development.
  • Ability to take the current brand identity and translate it across multiple channels, including email, social media, video and conference materials.
  • Plan, budget, and coordinate a number of marketing projects at the same time.
  • Plan and implement email automations to increase free trial conversions and nurture customers.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of email segmentation and the ability to develop an email campaign strategy that complements the email automation strategy.
  • Knowledge of best practices to build responsive emails for mobile, desktop, accessibility needs, and different design environments (eg. dark mode).
  • Knowledge about keyword research and content creation for SEO. Determine which content needs to be created, write content briefs and edit content written by freelancers/ the team.
In summary: you will be expected to take full ownership of the Lessonspace brand, marketing, and awareness, and you will tell us what you need to prioritise while working closely with all other departments.Qualifications: * Proven experience in a marketing role in a similar context to this.
  • Demonstrable passion for education, the edtech industry and marketing.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices.
  • Proficient in marketing automation and analytics software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to dive into the day-to-day tasks of running marketing campaigns.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
