Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor/ Structural EngineerCape Town, Western CapeR30 000 – R40 000 a month – Full-timeSeeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Structural Engineering to join the Company's growing team in Cape Town. You would need to be able to complete take offs for new construction projects and for structural steel projects (needs a understanding or some engineering background to be able to read engineering plans and decipher columns, lintels, T-bars etc)RequirementsEducation:

Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience:

Estimating: 5 years (Required)

Language:

English (Required)

The successful candidate will have experience in:

Construction, preferably both commercial and residential
Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans
Strong communication skills with stakeholders, supervisors, and construction managers
Ability to accurately Documenting material types, prices, and variations
Able to prepare reports on costings, budgets, and comparative analysis
Understanding what's required to convert construction plans to achievable deliverables on site.
Understanding engineering details, technical drawings, terminology and requirements
Proven experience in completing Quantities and Estimating tasks
Structural steel estimating ability
Product knowledge of materials throughout the building industry
Labour components required in a building project
