DISPATCH DRIVER 1. Experience: 10 Years driving experience2. Must have PDP.The following list contains the most important job activities but not all of the activity steps:•Conduct a daily inspection of the vehicle, complete the checklist and report any defects immediately to the Logistics Manager•Ensure all scheduled and specified orders are securely packed in the vehicle for delivery and the driver`s activity register completed accordingly•Receive collection slips from the Logistics Manager or the Stores Admin Clerk if collections are scheduled•Collect cash from the accountant for day to day expenses•Ensure the company cell phone is switched on, loaded with airtime and in his or her possession•Use the main or accepted routes and do not deviate from them or take detours•Ensure all paperwork is completed as per requirements when delivering or collecting•In the case of any deviation from the schedule, incident or problem ,the Logistics Manager must be notified immediately to remedy the situation•Hand in the completed activity register, all paperwork, collected items and/or undelivered items to the Stores Admin Clerk upon returning to the office•Present all receipts to the Logistics Manager for capturing of costs before handing them over to the accountant•Complete vehicle log book daily•Collect company post at least twice a week.•Have the vehicle washed at least once a week and keep it clean inside•Traffic laws are to be obeyed at all times•Ensure all accounts related queries and related documentation issues are resolved as a matter of priority, with all the relevant parties involved.•Assist in the stores with tasks given when there are no deliveries or collections•Maintain a safe, clean and orderly working environment.1.Roles and responsibilitiesThe Dispatch Driver reports to the Logistics Manager.This position requires daily interaction with the company`s customers and suppliers.The incumbent will be courteous at all times and will present and conduct himself in a professional manner. The incumbent will be dressed appropriately and keep his person neat and presentable.The incumbent will have loyalty to the department and to the company.The Dispatch Driver has liaison and interaction with other departments in the company.
