RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our client's manufacturing team in Pietermaritzburg. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and maintaining tools and dies used in the manufacturing process.Responsibilities

Designing and manufacturing tools and dies according to specifications
Maintaining and repairing tools and dies to ensure optimal performance
Collaborating with engineers and production workers to solve tooling-related issues
Utilizing CAD/CAM software and CNC machinery to create and modify tools and dies
Conducting quality control checks to ensure tools and dies meet required specifications
Keeping accurate records of all tool and die modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities
Staying up-to-date with advancements in tool and die manufacturing technologies
Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment
Trade Test Certificate as a Toolmaker
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC machinery operation
Strong knowledge of tool and die design and manufacturing techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Good verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience in press tooling and injection molds is preferred
CNC experience, particularly in milling machines and wire cutters, is an advantage
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Minimum 5 years of industry experience
