Hire Resolve's client is looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team in the Packaging Industry in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement and purchasing within the packaging industry, specifically dealing with flexible packaging materials.Responsibilities:

Assist the Financial Manager in sourcing packaging from pre-approved manufacturing sites globally
Evaluate and compare proposals and select the best option
Ensure that the best possible value is obtained by optimizing production and logistics efficiencies
Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure that all relevant documentation is accurate and complete
Monitor factory performance and ensure that all deliveries are made on time
Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise with suppliers, vendors, or clients
Maintain technical master files on the ERP system
Create Product Specifications, master COC and DOC documents
Consult with Sales regarding client forecasts and updating the forecasting model

Requirements

Suitable formal qualification will be an advantage
A minimum of 5 years in the flexible packaging industry
Ideally from estimating, production planning or procurement background
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented, highly accurate, organized working methods
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Benefits

Salary: R420k - R360k pa
