- Payroll Office:
- Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing.
- Management of employee data & files
- Process new employees and terminations.
- Commission, standby and overtime calculations.
- Processing of annual bonus and salary increments
- Stannic fuel card processing
- Loan account reconciliation.
- Monthly third-party reconciliations and payments:
- Medical Aid.
- Provident Fund.
- MIBFA.
- NUMSA.
- SARS.
- Garnishees.
- Prepare payroll file for bank upload.
- Capture payroll payments on accounting system.
- ESS administration and support.
- Medical Aid and Provident fund queries and support.
- Leave management and calculation of leave pay on termination.
- Monthly EMP201 recon and submit to finance for payment.
- EMP501 Annual & Bi-annual recon and submission on E@syfile.
- Monthly UIF declaration.
- Complete UI-19 and certificate of service.
- Stats SA (quarterly)
- WCA annual return.
- Compile payroll reports.
- Resolve pays queries.
- Annual financial audit.
- Maintain, review, and improve payroll processes.
- HR Officer Duties:
- Maintain filing system.
- Support the development and implementation of an Employment Equity and Skills Development Strategy for the Company.
- Support the development and implementation of transformation action plans/initiatives and the execution thereof.
- Prepare required documents for BBBEE audit.
- Support in tracking budget spending against targets.
- Effective teamwork and self-management.
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting/HR/Payroll or related field with preference in certification in payroll.
- Proficient in VIP Payroll/Sage VIP.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on Payroll system.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and admin skills.
- Computer literacy required.
- Always maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be able to work under pressure and deadline driven.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail is a must.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills a prerequisite.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Basic and advanced knowledge of compulsory payroll legislation and individual tax.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the accounting transactions related to payroll.
- R25 000 – R30 000 per month.
