The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has opportunities for three (3) competent individuals to coordinate and operationalise requirements, systems and processes and supervise personnel for the promotion, development and preservation of arts and culture within the ambit of relevant legislation.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Social Sciences or related field.
RecommendationWork experience within customary, cultural practices or arts and culture; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance AreasSupport relating to arts and cultural practice programmes; Stakeholder management; Operational planning and reporting; People Management; Financial Management.CompetenciesKnowledge of the following: Cultural practices within a diverse society; Research processes and methodologies; Stakeholder management; Project management.Skills needed: Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Written and verbal communication; Planning and organising; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
RemunerationR 294 321 per annum (Salary level 7)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
