Store Cashier

• Customer Service:

• Cash Handling:
• Execute cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring minimal errors.

• Conduct cash drawer reconciliations at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Inventory Management:
• Assist with maintaining optimal inventory levels and replenishing merchandise as needed.
• Account for all stock shortages and excess, reporting discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure accountability for stock discrepancies, with clear identification of responsible parties.
• Cash Reconciliation:
• Perform accurate cash drawer reconciliations and prepare deposits as required.
• Security and Compliance:
• Adhere to established cash handling and security protocols to prevent loss and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Support administrative functions such as paperwork processing and sales reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and other relevant documentation.
• Additional Duties:
• Product Promotion:
• Actively promote new products and special promotions to customers, fostering sales growth.
• Communication:
• Effectively communicate any concerns or operational issues to management.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of work experience and certification from relevant courses.
• NQF Level 5 in any field, with at least 2.5 years of work experience.
• Proficient in POS systems, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
• Previous retail experience, with at least 3+ years of work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Must have a clean criminal record (Non-negotiable)
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
• Demonstrated responsibility and reliability.
