Position of Employment Summary:The ideal candidate should be a Professional Civil Design Engineer who is professionally registered as a civil engineer with ECSA (not candidate).Hiring: Professional or soon to be registered Civil Engineer or Technologist (Cape Town) - Roads, water, stormwater and sewerThe engineer is required but not limited to the following activities:· Project Leader or Senior Design Engineer· Assist clients with project inception and sourcing of project funds· Investigate alternative solutions to problems· Compile or review technical reports· Compilation of project reports and data collection· Manage project staff with draughting, design and detailing· Maintain ISO 9001 quality assurance standards· Perform complex civil designs· Review all the project designs and drawings· Assist as reviewer with design reviews of others projects· Initiate project design reviews· Prepare manhour budgets and control project finances· Initiate Client Surveys and request client reference letters· Archive project to current requirements· Compile project sheets· Project managementRequirements:BSC/BTech Civil Engineering degreeProfessional registration with ECSA or soon to be professionally registered.
