You will report to the head of retail distribution.This role is suitable for appropriately qualified affirmative action candidates.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
  • You will be required to liaise with retail multi managers, fund of funds (FoF), discretionary fund managers (DFM) and other key stakeholders along the retail investment value chain to grow the company's market share;
  • You will be required to engage clients to grow the company market share in terms of investment capabilities and related services (primary objective);
  • You will be required to successfully influence other key stakeholders along the retail investment value chain (upstream and downstream) to achieve the primary objective above;
  • You will be required to influence business planning process for company retail clients;
  • You will be required to have a strong relationship and networking focus and established relationships to accomplish sales targets;
  • You will be required to deal at a corporate executive level;
  • You will be required to develop an action plan around how to deliver NCCF budget;
  • You will be required to understand the company's capabilities, markets, economic and political opportunities in the region;
  • You will be required to build and develop a pipeline of prospective clients within the defined market;
  • You will be required to ensure compliance with financial services regulations;
  • You will be required to realise sales of corporate / institutional investment products in pipeline;
  • You will be required to provide advice and consults on a wide range of products & investments to corporate / institutional clients;
  • You will be required to successfully develops and leverages CRM system to optimize the company's market share in clients;
  • You will be required to maintain and service existing clients by doing ongoing account management duties including but not limited to due diligences, report backs and client visits;
  • You will be required to identify threats to existing accounts and drives appropriate action to retain assets;
  • You will be required to play a team role in sales and retention of institutional clients and fulfils reporting processes and business practices for these clients;
  • You will be required to ensure sales targets are met and existing assets are retained.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a B.Com; CFP and or CFA or part;
  • You are FAIS compliant;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant experience in account management with institutional and retail clients;
  • You have exceptional sales capability (demonstrable);
  • You have excellent relationship building, growing and retention capability (demonstrable);
  • You have a highly technical understanding and application of investment capabilities (demonstrable).
