- Accurately update the database of host sites on a weekly basis.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Attend client meetings with the Project Managers on workplace hosting on a regular basis.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and positive manner while promoting the Company in the same manner.
- Contact various companies and Non-Profit Organizations (NPO’s) to secure workplaces for unemployed learners on Learnerships and/or Skills Programs.
- Distribute a report of available host sites to all Project Managers on a weekly basis and nationally if applicable.
- Effectively communicate and update the Operations Team on hosting for new and ongoing projects.
- Engage with the Senior Project Manager when there are matters that need resolution.
- Ensure all learners that require host sites are placed at same within one month of receiving deliverables.
- Ensure all signed off workplace registers are submitted to the Project Manager timeously to process stipend payments.
- Ensure the workplace always has work for the learners to complete and that it is relevant to their qualification.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of recruitment processes.
- Ensure Training Force workplaces are professional, treating the learners as any other employee of the Company, ensuring that targets are achieved, adherence to working hours, attendance of weekly meetings, etc.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of the exit level outcomes of the learnership that the learners are attending.
- Have an open communication channel with the Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Senior Project Manager.
- Have an open communication channel with Project Managers on different lead employer requirements regarding; Attendance Registers, Absenteeism, Training Schedules, Annual/Sick/Other leave, and Progress of Learners.
- Negotiate rates and agreements with potential host sites in line with the project budgets.
- The ability to identify the root causes of problems through questions and apply the appropriate interventions to address and solve problems.
- Understand all related legislative and SETA processes relating to the learnerships.
- Understand the learnership process and have an understanding on the qualifications Training Force is accredited with.
- Visit all host sites monthly to discuss attendance, mentoring, completion of logbooks, learner progress, disciplinary issues, etc.
- Attend meetings with current and potential host partners on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure all host site agreements are completed correctly and filed accordingly.
- Keep an open communication channel with current and potential host employers.
- Maintain and build relationships with host partners nationally and understand all related legislative and SETA processes relating to the learnerships of the hosted learners.
- Meet with the host sites to establish hosting suitability in line with qualification outcomes.
- Research and source strategic host partners.
- Understand and implement appropriate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) processes when visiting host sites.
- Encourage learners to reach their personal and team targets.
- Ensure learners participate in all learning and work experience required by the learnership and attend theoretical training as per their schedule.
- Ensure learners understand the function of the Host Employer versus the Lead Employer and attend work as scheduled as part of learning process.
- Ensure registers, logbooks or any written assessment tools supplied by the employer or training provider recording learners' workplace is signed off by relevant persons.
- Ensure signed learner workplace attendance registers are collected and sent to the relevant Project Manager or Project Coordinator on a weekly basis.
- Induct new learners entering the workplace on the Code of Conduct, host site and lead employer disciplinary processes.
- Monitor attendance of learners and urgently inform the client of any potential problems.
- Monitor the completion of the learner logbooks.
- Matric and relevant Tertiary qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Computer literate (MS Office) with good Excel skills.
- A valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.
- Experience working in the training industry.
- R20 000 – R30 000 per month.
