Mechanic

• Weekly vehicle inspections include oil, water, grease nipples, pipe and engine leaks, tIre pressure, clean engine, spare wheels, spanners, and high lift jacks.
• Monthly vehicle inspections include suspensions, exhaust systems, universal joints, electrical systems, and vehicle furnishings.
• Assume full responsibility of the cleanliness of the workshop and the workshop storerooms.
• Assume full responsibility for the control and safekeeping of all parts in the workshop, storeroom, and used in vehicles, maintain the workshop inventory, perform stock takes and report to the Head Guide on a regular basis.
• Check Generator daily (water, oil, and Diesel)
• Fill up daily and record on diesel issue sheet
• Be available for all back-up and stand-by duties as directed and assist with any vehicle emergencies (guest and company vehicles) as required.
• Assist with incident handling in the event of emergency / evacuation, including medical emergencies, fire, and flood.
• Assist with field work when required.

• Knowledge on the applicable / relevant property and company procedures for the department.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of vehicles and on the safe operation of tools, equipment and appliances of the workshop.
• In depth knowledge of all cleaning products used.
• Sound knowledge on stock take procedures and stock control.
• Basic knowledge of all MORE properties and all activities offered.
• Basic knowledge of all departments/operations of your property.
