Job Summary Engineering - Job Purpose: Compile drawings and 3D models for manufacturing and installation of fire protection systems. Requirements: - Matric & Draughting Certificate/Diploma (Essential) - ASIB Competency certificate - SAWCC Certification - Minimum applicable experience 5 Years - Piping & Materials Handling - Drawings for Mining/Construction/Manufacturing AND/OR Electrical Instrumentation - Microsoft Office Suite - AutoCAD - Autodesk Inventor - Visio - Knowledge of Fire protection systems - Drivers License Competencies (Personality) - Interpreting - Data - Attention to detail - Problem-solving - Teamwork - Results driven Key Performance Areas, Weights (Time Spent/Importance) and Tasks - Drawings 60 % • Create accurate, readable technical drawings as per designs • Compile drawing project plan, naming conventions, and number generation • Generate 3D parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies • Generate detail drawings (project planning; parts; sub-assemblies; assemblies; revisions and redesigns) • Ensure conversions of different file formats to complete drawings • Implement revisions and redesigns on all relevant drawings • Create, import, and ensure that correct templates are used at all times (Internal/External) • Ensure that a fast and accurate bill of materials is generated • Ensure accurate dimensioning and detailing of drawings • Attend site visits as and when required for Site establishment for 3D modeling • To verify discrepancies in existing drawing
