We're on the lookout for a capable Transport Manager to lead and optimize our transportation endeavors.Key Responsibilities:Take the helm in overseeing day-to-day transport operations, including delivery logistics and driver management.Coordinate dispatch, routing, and tracking of trucks to ensure efficient and punctual deliveries.Maintain and oversee our fleet of trucks, ensuring they are properly maintained, licensed, and roadworthy as per manufacturer guidelines.Develop and execute budgets for truck operations while accurately monitoring diesel consumption.Foster positive relationships with customers and suppliers, promptly addressing any concerns or issues.Ensure strict compliance with regulations and standards, including managing driver hours, overtime, and leave.Conduct training and onboarding for new team members to ensure they're equipped with the necessary skills.Uphold health and safety standards within the transport department, promptly addressing any identified issues.Monitor and report on key performance indicators for staff on a weekly basis.Qualifications:Essential tertiary qualification in Transport.Experience in a unionized environment, with knowledge of NBCRFLI, is advantageous.5-8 years of experience in the transport industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Familiarity with vehicle loading, staff management, and planning.Requirements:Must meet criteria for Fitness for Duty.Valid Driver’s License with License Code C1-EC.Access to own transportation.Flexibility for after-hours and weekend work with short notice.PDP (Professional Driving Permit).Competencies:Strong planning and organizational aptitude.Effective people management skills.Adaptability to changing circumstances.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.Ready to drive success in transport management?
