RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading company in the mining industry, based in Gauteng, that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Safety Officer. As the Chief Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety standards across all operations.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Oversee safety inspections and audits
Provide guidance and support to site safety teams
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
Investigate and analyze safety incidents and implement corrective actions
Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs
Monitor and report on safety performance and trends

Requirements

National Diploma in Safety Management
COMSOC 1 & 2
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the mining industry
Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and legislation
Proven track record in implementing and maintaining safety programs
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects
Willingness to travel to different mine sites as required
