RPO Recruitment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Klerksdorp. As a leading recruitment agency, RPO Recruitment specializes in finding the best candidates for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the estimation, costing, and contractual management of construction projects. Working closely with senior surveyors and project managers, you will ensure accurate cost projections and financial control throughout the construction process.Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Conduct accurate cost analysis, estimation, and forecasting for construction projects
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to review and negotiate project proposals
Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contractual specifications
Assist in the preparation of progress reports, change orders, and payment certificates
Maintain accurate project records, including measurement records and cost documentation

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation and valuation techniques
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management software
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with construction contracts and relevant legal regulations
Proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field of quantity surveying
