About the job Field Sales ExecutiveMinimum Requirements:
  • Matric essential.
  • 7 years experience in the logistics market
  • Hunter spirit with significant success in the last 8 months
  • Proven track record
  • Cold calling skills
  • Previous Clearing & Forwarding sales experience preferred.
  • Previous formal sales training preferred.
  • Well presented, professional individual with excellent written and verbal language skills.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate.
  • Ability to accurately forecast performance.
  • Team player, ability to share information to management and support team.
  • Full computer literacy.
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to create and implement own sales tactic.
  • Ability to work within a target driven and pressured environment.
  • Strong Logistics knowledge; strong business intelligence
  • Results driven
Responsibilities:
  • Create loyalty and optimize the existing portfolio.
  • Acquire new customers through individual prospecting actions.
  • Formulate new and portfolio tactics to align with branch strategy.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with a mix of small, medium, and large prospects.
  • Utilise company CRM System to capture, update, maintain sales pipeline/portfolio/acquisition customers.
  • Promote the new commercial offers.
  • Answer to tenders in collaboration with the Direction and the purchasing service
  • Advise customers on the transport offers according to their needs and offer the most adapted solution
  • Liaise with Middle Office Solutions Team for best solution/cost.
  • Build and present proposals to customers.
  • Achieve existing customer growth and new business targets.
  • Active network through various chambers of commerce, vertical specific trade shows/events and functions
  • Keep abreast of industry changes, information, and skill requirements.
  • Establish SOPs / SLA s in line with customer expectations and implement with internal teams.
  • Handle and coordinate customer queries.
  • Weekly / monthly Customer reporting as required internally and to client.
  • Transmit to the operational services the relevant business records specifying the arrangements with customers and specific operational procedures.
  • Exchange business information with the network abroad
  • Transmit to the financial services the information required by the account opening procedures.
  • Monitor the credit worthiness of customers/ prospects in relation to financial services.
  • Opening of new business accounts following the applicable procedure
  • Draft commercial contracts according to the regulations, if necessary, in cooperation with the Legal Service
  • Estimate the risks/ losses from litigation in conjunction with the Financial & Legal Services
  • Collect debts under the legislation.
  • Follow with the management the profitability of customer accounts.
  • Establish the annual budget exercise in consultation with their line manager.
