- Project Management (45%)
- Independently lead implementation for a portfolio of new program launches (up to "level two" complexity) across multiple university partners
- Provide implementation support to senior team members and oversee phases of more complex launches
- Define the project scope and objectives based on contractual obligations communicated by the business development team
- Lead all aspects of implementation, including developing, maintaining, and driving the timeline, project plan, and stakeholder relationships
- Manage and communicate project expectations to internal and external stakeholders across functional teams
- On a consistent basis, provide project updates to internal and university stakeholders at all levels on implementation strategy, project progress, and timeline risks
- Translate the needs of internal and external partners into technical specifications for systems design and develop business case when requirements fall outside of technical capabilities
- Define operational processes needed to implement a sustainable product and support the program at all stages
- Ensure deadlines are met, forecast risks, and assess and manage impacts of change to minimize risk to launch timing
- Create and maintain documentation on program structure and all decisions made throughout the implementation period in order to ensure a smooth transition to program management
- Stakeholder Management (35%)
- Effectively matrix-manage a cross functional launch team of stakeholders across 2U (Revenue, Platform, Operations, Partnerships) and with University Partners to ensure overall success of program launches
- Support partner relationships with the broader team in order to set a strong foundation for the partnership, escalate implementation blockers, and drive launch priorities
- Navigate and influence university partner relationships to ensure clarity of project goals, timely delivery of university-owned milestones, and promote partner satisfaction
- Effectively build and own internal relationships with cross-functional leaders at the Director level and below, and delegate project tasks to those individuals best positioned to execute
- Work collaboratively with 20+ internal and external stakeholders to coordinate resources and ensure an on-time execution of new program/product launches
- Identify and assess escalation points and collaborate efficiently with stakeholders to problem-solve and rapidly remove roadblocks
- Work with the broader Business Development team to ensure program vision, design, and contractual obligations are effectively communicated across the teams and internal stakeholders
- Process Development and Standardization (20%)
- Support innovation-focused initiatives and team goals to address business and organizational needs at scale
- Contribute to the standardization of processes and best practices
- Support projects that improve internal processes across cross-functional teams and systems
- Maintain and promote New Partner Implementation resources to ensure implementation processes and best practices are documented, accessible and utilized
- Handle additional operational and administrative tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4-6 years of experience in project management, operations, client management, program management; higher education, tech industry preferred
- Strong project management skills essential
- Excellent computer skills, coupled with the ability to quickly learn new software suites and functionality
- Extraordinary organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Demonstrated success with leading and managing multiple stakeholders and priorities in the absence of direct line authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- Strong working knowledge of Google Suite, Smartsheets or similar Project Management software, Lucidchart
- Desire to work in a higher education environment and familiarity with navigating the landscape (preferred)
- Confidence in decision-making and ability to lead people in order to achieve results (preferred)
- Ability to think critically and identify potential issues before they arise (preferred)
- Enthusiasm and the ability to quickly adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment (preferred)
- Proactive attitude, not afraid to ask how you can help and propose new process ideas (preferred)
- Experience working with Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence or equivalent systems
