Group Reporting Accountant

- Preparation and Assistance with half-year and year-end Group financial statements as well as Financial statements for individual entities
- Participating in preparation of the Group Annual Report, Board papers and ESG Reporting
- Liaising with external auditors and management of audits
- Monthly calculation, posting and maintaining Share Based Payments working
- Facilitating in Intangible Assets Capitalisation
- Responsibility of maintaining leases on Lease Query and IFRS 16 accounting
- Preparing Intercompany reconciliation matrix including posting journals
- Monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet reviews
- Assisting in forecasting and developing the Group cashflows year as well as during quarterly reforecasts.
- Monitoring and improving on cashflow within cost centre budgets
- Assisting in improving and maintaining the Operational Cashflow for the Group, including conducting meetings with the regional accountants
- Reporting of Monthly cash to Management by working day 2 of the month end process
- Support in managing and forecasting the Invoice discounting facility
- Assisting in any funding and treasury transactions
- Monitoring, Improving and Assisting in developing Internal Controls and processes around the Group: ie: Balance Sheet reviews, Cash reporting, Monthly reviews of P&L
- Supporting the Finance Team on projects and tasks as required, for continuous improvement
- Assisting in Group Insurance policy renewals
- Play an active role in improving controls within the accounting systems and processes
- Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA
- Prior experience in a professional services background (big 4 or equivalent preferable)
- Strong experience in external audit
- Knowledge of IFRS Standards and Group consolidations
- Proficient in Excel and other systems, Microsoft Business Central is beneficial
- Self-motivation, excellent communication, teamworking, and interpersonal skills
- Due to hybrid working, please note only applicants who is willing to relocate or currently based in Cape Town will be considered.
