Crescent Star Pty Ltd a Privately-Held Investment company, based in Durban North, La-Lucia is seeking an experienced Legal Manager.We are seeking a seasoned experienced individual with excellent legal knowledge, experience and business acumen.An individual who displays sound judgement; decision-making with high level experience on corporate legal-matters, excellent communication skills, providing sound business advice and outstanding overall knowledge of legal processes.Duties & Responsibilities

Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, acquisitions, financial, compliance, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents).
Develop company policy framework and position on legal risks.
Research, anticipate and advise company against legal risks.
Guide the company and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
Structure, draft and review reports and legal documents.
Advise company on legal matters and proceedings.
Draft and administer all contracts and documents.
Negotiate contracts and attend company meetings.
Monitor legal risk in documentation and giving guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk.
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations.
Conduct legal research and gather evidence.
Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.
Explain the law and give legal advice to the company.
Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.
Facilitate innovative solutions to client problems.
Create an organizational approach towards legal matters.
Assist general managers on compliance guidelines and controls.
Prepare future and current strategies to ensure proper implementation.
Generally supporting the business, by providing business advisory,solution-oriented and timely legal assistance.

Experience & QualificationHighly Experienced in Business/ Commercial / Corporate Law.5+ years in Commercial/ Corporate experience.LLB / LLM / BCom / MBA / Masters degree or similar necessary.Lawyer, Attorney, Advocate, Legal AdvisorProven experience as a Corporate Attorney, Corporate Lawyer, Legal Counsel or similar position.A professional attorneys license of law practice or similarly experienced.Excellent knowledge of all regulatory & corporate law.Good oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated individual with good analytical and managerial skills.Excellent attention to detail.A critical thinker and good problem-solving ability.Strong time management skills.Outstanding drafting skills.Excellent ability to multi-task.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to work individually or in a team.If interested, Forward CV detailing experience and availability.Note: This is an office-based post based in Durban.
