Purpose of the JobThe HVAC & Refrigeration Technician responsibilitiesinclude maintaining customers’ refrigeration and HVAC equipment, by performingdiagnostics, documenting, and reporting findings, and performrepairs/restoration/replacing.RequirementsNational Diploma Engineering at NQF6 with 240 credits· Provenwork experience as an HVAC/VRV Technician or similar role 4 + years in trade.· Avalid driver’s license.· Excellentattention to detail and organizational skills· Strongcustomer service skills and time management· Excellenthealth and safety knowledge· Abilityto collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.· Relevantlicensure or certifications may be required. Key Responsibilities:· Troubleshoot and repair Refrigeration or HVACequipment/units including electronic and mechanical components.· Inspect, maintain, repair, chilled water anddirect expansion refrigeration and air conditioning, and ventilating systems,equipment, and controls.· Read, interpret, and work from blueprints,drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches, and specifications.· Daily prepare signed job cards/reports forsubmission to manager. · Install, Repair, and perform preventivemaintenance as per established standards. · Comply with company safety guidelines andprocedures. · Comply with company and customer regulationsand policies. · Conduct safety inspections, including properuse of personal protective equipment, and verify that safety regulations arefollowed. Firmly abide by company safety policy and OHS duties.· Attend conferences and participate in otherlearning and growth opportunities. · Performing and contributing to design work · Manage company vehicle, tools, and assets as per thededicated company policy directives.
