Job SummaryAn independent mining, construction, and trading company seeks a new General Manager in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.Responsibilities

Heading up of the opencast mining divisions
Manage mining contracts profitably
Meet planned/budgeted margins
Manage and maintain stable client relationships and professional promotion of the company brand
Actively promoting the company's core values and guidelines for success
Budget control
Accountability for Performance Management
Accountability for Safety Management
Actively support strategic objectives
Provide the leadership required to create high-performance teams - capable of reaching all their targets as well as do the coaching required for the teams to function successfully
Manage six opencast operations

Requirements

Grade 12
Blasting Certificate in fiery mines
Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence
Mining Engineering Degree or BTech Diploma
Mine Managers Certificate of Competence
15-20 Years experience in Opencast Mining Environment
Minimum 10 years at senior management level

Benefits

Salary: R600K/yr - R1M/yr, negotiable
